After plastering or sanding
A white film covers skirtings, sills and the inside of sockets.
Builders cleaning
Dust and debris removal is the part of a builders clean that deals with plaster dust, sanding dust and the grit left in corners, tracks and floor edges. It is for sites where a household vacuum has already clogged. Builders Clean quotes this across the UK. Use the form or WhatsApp.
Who it is for
A white film covers skirtings, sills and the inside of sockets.
Grit sits in tracks, under plinths and along the hearth.
You need the dust gone before a carpet or a seal goes down.
Variants
The film on joinery, radiators and empty shelves.
Offcuts, plug dust and sweepings a dustpan misses.
Stairs and landings where it has been walked through the house.
How it works
The order is the same every time so dust is not wiped into a paste or walked back onto a clean floor.
Doors closed, so we are not pulling dust into a finished bedroom.
Wiping first smears the film into a paste.
Sills and rails before the floor.
We tell you if a next-day vacuum is worthwhile.
Cost
You receive a quote for this property. We do not publish a flat price, because two houses with the same bedroom count can take very different time.

Problems
The symptom is a white line along every skirting and dust puffing out of a vacuum. Another is grit in sliding-door tracks and under a new kitchen plinth. If the pile in the garden is rubble, that is waste removal, not this visit.
Prep and after
Stop sanding before the visit. Cover any open water tanks or food areas. After we leave, wait before you unpack fabrics. A quick vacuum the next day collects the dust that was still in the air.
Fine dust comes back if someone sands again. It should not keep returning on a finished, closed-up house after a proper removal and one settlement vacuum.
FAQ
Plaster and sanding dust is very fine. It blinds household filters and blows back into the room. The visit uses vacuuming suited to that dust, then a wipe, not a single pass with a broom.
Yes, when it is small enough to bag and carry: packaging, plug dust, offcuts. Skip waste, soil and plasterboard stacks are a different job. Say which you have on the form.
After. Dust falls while joinery is wiped. Floors are left until that dust is under control.
This page covers mixed site dust and small debris. If the problem is specifically new plaster in the air and on every ledge, the plaster dust page is the closer match.
Once the agreed rooms are finished and dry underfoot. Keep fabrics out until you have done the next-morning vacuum we recommend.
